Our "dirty boxing" training is a combination of standard "Western" boxing with a mix of techniques and strategies that would get you fouled out of a ring. The key benifits in this area of the training is, like the bladed and impact weapons, you learn strategy, awareness, power and precision. We balance the dirty techniques that allow you to prevail in a real world situation, with practical training that will enable you to actually use them. We do not focus only on techniques that have little liklihood of success, but instead give practioners practical options that will provide results.
We use kicks, knees, elbows, headbutts and other techniques and strikes to develop skills that can be practical on the street. We train with focus mitts, Thai pads, heavy bags, sparring, etc. to develop our skills and attributes in the art, so that you not only have technique, but the power, speed, and timing to make them practical. We focus and movement, targeting, strategy and other key factors in a fight scenario.
Yet, our "dirty boxing" is not just "Western" boxing with a few added techniques, but instead it is the natural fruit of combat developed from the strategies and skills you learn while training in the weapon aspects of the Philipine Combat Arts. One of the things that many followers of the Philippine Combat Arts praise is the natural ease of adaptablity and transition from weapons to empty hand.
